Plunketts upcoming events
Many fundraising events have taken place over the years from Cookery Demonstrations with Neven Maguire to our most recent SOPER'S night. Here's a flavour of some of the events.
In 2010 we held our first big event, The Jig Factor, this was a hugely successful event with Stuart Mullen & Róisín Lyons winning outright with the most entertaining Irish Dance routine of the night.
In 2012 the club held it's first wedding.... Mock Wedding, this wedding had everything, colour, drama, fun & lots of laughs with Margaret Cuggy Byrne as the Bride & Joey McDonnell as the Groom, Pat Brennan as the Priest aided by his very attentive altar server Eddie Byrne. The colourful wedding party consisted of Mother & Father of the Bride, Denis Carr & Gloria Walsh & Father & Mother of the Groom, Ciaran O'Neill & Maggie Stritch. Best Men - Kevin Brogan & Eoghan O'Sullivan & Brides Maids Maura Browne & Patricia MacDonnell. This turned out to be a really fun night from start to finish.
Some other events such as Rocky Horror, The Kube, Fashion Fusion, Strictly Plunkett's, Stars for the Night & our own take on the Oscars, Plunkett's Sopers gave us great entertainment. Apart from these nights being great fundraisers they were great community events & showed the depth of talent within the club & Parish.

Fashion Fusion
Fashion Fusion was a fashion show with a difference. The models were from all sections of the club & community but primarily from our Senior Hurling & Camogie team. The evening started with some of our juvenile girls & boys modelling clothes from Dunnes Stores, they cart wheeled onto the stage loving every minute of the cat walk experience. The Senior Players modelled clothes from Nike, O'Neills, New Look, Alila, Arnotts & our wedding section was from Barnardos & Collar & Cuff's. s this item about? What makes it interesting?
