This Week's Fixtures 20th August & Results

August 20, 2019

It's coming down to the final few league games in adult football and hurling so here's a summary of how the teams are faring. Best wishes to all teams playing this week.

Football

Our Senior Footballers final two games are postponed to September until after the All Ireland. They will face Na Fianna away and Templelogue SS at home.

Our Junior A's won comfortably at the weekend vs. Erin's Isle and now have one game remaining. They are guaranteed to make the play off's (3rd) however if they win their last game, they are assured of finishing 2nd and getting automatic promotion back to Division 4 which would be a great achievement to get back playing Intermediate league status.

The Junior B's have two games remaining and need a win to assure them safety in Division 7 for 2020. They take on Naomh Mearnogs this evening at home 7.15pm in a back match.

The newly formed Junior C's got their first competitive win over St. Vincent's at the weekend in Division 11N and will play away to Fingal Ravens on Thursday. If anyone is interested in playing socially next year, this is a great team to get involved with with no age limitations encompassing a panel of players from 18-50+!

Hurling

Our Senior Hurlers beat Setanta last week and have one game remaining. They take on Scoil Ui Chonaill this Saturday evening away. A draw on Saturday is enough to assure them of a promotional play off and a win might get them home advantage.

Our Junior Hurlers play on Sunday morning against Skerries at home oat 11am. They will need a win to get them into a relegation play off game to maintain their Division 5 status.

Camogie

The girls are back in action this week too after a decent break. They play Faughs at home this evening in their Senior Cup. They have a very busy September ahead with FIVE Championship games scheduled in Senior 2.

Ladies Football

The ladies are also back for football after a big break. They play Round Towers Lusk tomorrow evening in the Junior F Football Championship semi final. A win see them make a champo final - best of luck to them!
