Senior Camogie Team Through to a Leinster Final
A last gasp goal for our Senior Camogie team this afternoon saw them beat Ratharney 2-3 to 1-4 in a game of two halves down in the Hurling Grounds in the Phoenix Park. SOPER trailed 0-01 to 1-4 but made the most of the conditions in the second half to turn the score around. The team will now face Celbridge in the Division 2 Leinster Final. This is a terrific achievement by the management and players in their first time playing in this competition. Comhghairdeas to Barbara and all involved!
With all the excitement it seems we have no pics but if you have any please send them over!
Final Score: SOPER 2-03 | Ratharney 1-04
Senior Hurlers Beat Erin's Isle
Our Senior Hurlers were first up in the park this morning against Erin's Isle. With all fours seasons managing to interrupt the match they managed to hang on to win by a point in difficult conditions.
Final Score: SOPER 1-10 | Erin's Isle 0-12
Our Junior Hurlers were also on today and unfortunately despite a rallying second half, they couldn't close the big lead Clann Gael posted in first half.
Final Score: Clanna Gael 3-13 | SOPER 2-05
