Plunketts announce a new partnership deal with Community Credit Union

St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh GAA Club are delighted to announce their new partnership with Community Credit Union for the Clubs 2018 mini-league and summer camp series. 

The week-long S.O.P.E.R. (St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh) girls mini-league will commence on Monday 11th June, followed by the boys mini-league on June 18th. The GAA summer camps, incorporating hurling, football, camogie and ladies football take place from July 9th – 13th, and August 20th – 24th at the Club grounds at Martin Savage Park.  

Speaking about the upcoming camps Club Chairman, John Quilter said; “We’ve been running the GAA mini-leagues since the club was founded in the 1960’s and the summer camps since the 1990’s and have seen a huge increase in participation and satisfaction levels in recent years. We’re delighted to be joining forces with Community Credit Union to add a new layer to our ever-growing club and ask that members support our new partnership with the credit union.”

Community Credit Union aims to promote and raise awareness of Gaelic games in partnership with St. Oliver Plunkett’s Eoghan Ruadh GAA Club and to create opportunities for adult club members to avail of Credit Union financial packages.

Sue Callanan, Business Development Manager with Community Credit Union outlined that; “Community Credit Union have been sponsoring the juvenile section of the club for over 20 years and we’re excited to now solidify our partnership with the S.O.P.E.R. mini-league and summer camp series. The partnership will open a wide range of new opportunities for parents and adult members in St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh GAA Club. We’re keen to develop our relationship with the club by tapping into the current member structure and to also expand our reach in partnership with them into the new communities in Ashtown, Royal Canal Park and Rathbourne areas.”

Registration for the S.O.P.E.R summer camps is now available on Eventbrite and further information is available on Payment will be accepted at a cost of €50 per child with a €5 sibling discount for the second and subsequent children who pay €45 in the clubhouse on June 14th from 7pm – 8pm.

Mark Cooper, Games Promotional Officer at the Club emphasized that; “the camps and mini-leagues are all about learning new skills, making friends and being active while having fun. The action-packed camps are structured in an age-appropriate manner so that all participants get the maximum benefit and enjoyment from playing Gaelic Football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football”

The club would like to thank Aisling Newman and James Brogan of Legacy Consultants for organising the launch event on Thursday evening.  Thanks to all the club members present for the launch event . As a result, Cian Boland featured in a 2 page article in The Herald on Friday as part of the launch.  Special thanks also to Stephen Lohan, club member who designed the attractive logo for the club camps and mini-leagues.
