The Navan Road starts at Cabra Cross and runs all the way to the town of Navan, some 50 Km away. In the early 1950's suburban housing started to creep out along the road. Plunketts is proud to be an integral part of this community, bringing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and a love of Gaelic games to all age groups in our area. Over the decade's estates began to be built on either side of it, gradually developing into the vibrant community that exists today. The  Phoenix Park lies immediately to the west and the Royal Canal to the east. The area now boasts primary and secondary schools, library, church, shops more.
